CF Week 2019- Every little helps
CF Week is held every year and is a week dedicated to raising awareness of Cystic Fibrosis by kindly donating and wearing yellow to secure a brighter future for people like me with CF. You can find out more on the Cystic Fibrosis Trust website. For CF Week 2019 I created a little fundraising page in hope to raise a small amount towards the fantastic Cystic Fibrosis Unit I attend at Frimley Park, who are currently campaigning to expand the CF Unit to a 10 bed in-patient unit with 10 treatment rooms so they can continue to support and care for people like me. As you may know with Cystic Fibrosis, there is a segregation policy in place where I cannot be around other patients with CF due to risk of infection. Therefore, with your support, myself and other patients can receive the treatments needed and feel less stressed about missing home during two week hospital admissions. Thank you to those who donated and helped to raise £100- every little helps! https://justgiving.com/fundraising/naomijones1805

On June 10th 2017
'The Wary Hikers' embarked on a very tough challenge, which involved
walking 40 miles (65km) in one day in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust!
The challenge involved many months of training, in all weathers, to prepare
them for the big day. They all did a fantastic job in completing the Great
Strides 65 with the help of their support team throughout the day!
Well done to Dad, Mum, Karen, Abbi, Pete and Rachel for your fantastic efforts
and raising a whopping amount of £7,878.12! Check their fundraising page out

On 31st July 2014 we held a 'wear yellow day' at the nursery I work at in Basingstoke for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. We did lots of different yellow activities with the children such as yellow angel delight play, yellow submarine painting, yellow sand play and a role play pond area with yellow rubber ducks in. It was a good day and we raised a total of £100.10p
Tandem Skydive.
On August 10th
2013 I did a 10,000ft Tandem Skydive with my friend Josh to raise money for the
Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I raised a total of £2050. Travelling for 30 seconds at
120mph at 10,000ft I struggled with my breathing due to my CF and the panic of
looking down and realising how high up I was. But I tried my best to give the
camera man a 'thumbs up' and some funny faces. It's not every day you can say
"I've just jumped 10,000ft out of a plane!"
Dad's Kilimanjaro Trek.
In September 2011, Dad completed a once in a lifetime experience where he climbed Kilimanjaro! He raised an astonishing amount of £10,410! Take a look at his website for all of the updates leading up to his trip! https://shaunscfkilimanjarotrek2011.webs.com/
